We've already heard that Samsung would be using the Exynos 2600 SoC in the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip8, but today a new report from a Korean tipster brings some additional context.
Apparently, the company will use both the Exynos 2600 and a Qualcomm chip (presumably the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5), and which one you get will depend on your region.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 leaked CAD-based render
Samsung has done this before, it's nothing new, and if history repeats then expect North America to get the Snapdragon version for sure. What's interesting is that the source of this rumor claims the reason for Samsung going this route is the fact that the Exynos 2600 is expensive and Qualcomm reportedly took advantage of this situation and made the Korean company an offer it couldn't refuse - in terms of pricing for its chips.
The Flip8 has been rumored to be both thinner and lighter than its predecessor, but its cameras seem unchanged.

half snapdragon half exynos? this is the excerpt from yesterday news "TSMC CEO mocks Samsung for repeating its 10-year catch-up promise twice in a row" honestly samsung should know by now they don't have the expertise nor the right ...
Not sure if I want the Snapdragon since I cannot run Android 16's Linux Terminal with it at all. If Qualcomm finally decides to give native AVF support for Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 series, then I might reconsider my thought.
I came back to Samsung because of Qualcomm. I skipped an upgrade because lack of it. When is Samsung ever going to learn? If given the choice, for daily drive/critical device, almost NO one want Exynos. YoY sale went down.... I wonder why.
